Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Hong-Chih Kuo, who is eligible to come off the 15-day disabled list Friday, will begin a two-game rehabilitation assignment Monday at Class A Rancho Cucamonga.
He will pitch on consecutive days for the Quakes, something club officials have been reluctant to do in recent years because of Kuo's history of arm problems.
Dodgers manager Don Mattingly indicated it isn't necessarily a sign he is more comfortable using Kuo on back-to-back days.
"We'll just kind of see where it goes,'' Mattingly said.
