Chien-Ming Wang underwent successful surgery Wednesday to repair a torn ligament in his right shoulder capsule.
"There is hope he comes back to pitch next season," agent Alan Chang said. The procedure was performed by Dr. James Andrews and typically has a recovery time of six-to-eight months. Wang should be good for spring training 2010, as long as he can avoid major setbacks.
